'The Big Four': Behind-the-scenes photos and episode screencaps

While we wait for the forthcoming UK broadcast of The Big Four, here are some some set photos and screencaps!

Diana from Germany very kindly gave me permission to post these photos she took on the set of The Big Four earlier this year:

"ueetba", a fan from Poland, did these high quality screencaps from the Polish broadcast. They should be fairly spoiler-free:

  1. Do we know how much the old trio appear? Is it a decent amount?

Also great news regarding the week when it airs in the UK :D

    1. From what I've heard, Hastings and Miss Lemon appear in the opening scenes, and then in the final scenes (possibly with some scenes in between). Japp has become the central character of the three, he assists Poirot throughout.

      Yes, isn't it just? :)

  2. Sorry, but I am NOT from Poland, I just downloaded it from a Polish site.

    1. I'm aware of that. These screencaps aren't from the video you uploaded to YouTube. A fan from Poland called "ueetba" e-mailed them to me after the Polish broadcast. I've added them to the blog for those who want a glimpse of the episode but don't want to watch it until it airs in the UK.

    1. If you look at the full-scale version of the screen cap, it looks like the photo of a man (very possibly the dead man in the morgue, if you've seen the post I did on the Polish trailer). But I can't be certain, as I haven't watched the episode yet :)

    2. I'm sorry, I misread your comment. No, she's not Miss Lemon. I don't know who she is, though, since I haven't seen the episode, but I think she is a witness to one of the murders :)

    3. I believe it's Patricia Hodge, who plays Madame Olivier. There aren't many women in this episode as per the cast list, and from the formal-looking clothing, the character looks important. I could be wrong, but that's my best guess.

    4. Yes, that's possible. We'll know more by Wednesday next week I suppose ;)

  6. It is indeed Madame Olivier :)

    1. Indeed it was! Tom has this amazing ability to guess correctly when it comes to small hints from Poirot adaptations ;)

  7. Hello, does anyone know where those arches are where Poirot met the reporter in the Big Four episode?

    1. Hi! I'm fairly certain it's in the Inner Temple (Inns of Court, London).

    1. Hi again! Apparently it's the undercroft of Lincoln's Inn Chapel (same area, slightly different location). Here's a link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shadow-in-the-water/9450577599/.
